the fire next door

fire @ the carpark next to the office building

a huge fire hit the carpark next to the office building early morning. streets were closed. firetrucks and ambulances stationed all around. an early morning jolt as i walked towards the office. perhaps a sign of how eventful the next few days and weeks and months are going to be. but most probably not a sign. just another random accident. with hopefully not a single casualty.

sign or no sign, it was an eventful day after all. we have started to give potential directors a call to get their inputs on an upcoming video project we'll be working on. feels quite exciting working with a producer, seeing director's reels, and discussing casting and shooting and editing and all that fun stuff. aside from the video, there's also that tv commercial that's in the works. another source of fun-ness. im actually enjoying work a lot coz i guess im learning even more new things (plus it obviously helps being considered a "little julian" —julian's our creative director). learning more and more the importance of speaking up and voicing out one's opinions.

it's going to be a fiery november (and december actually). video shoots. editing. travelling. testing. and more important than the work shit, there's that talk im giving to the art directors club in next next saturday. AND, even more important, 2 good friends are flying over. peachy, creative director back in ogilvy back then and now based in malaysia, is coming over to judge some advertising award show. and the great il cohen is flying over to visit for a week. should be rock and roll when the dutchman hits zi city again. cant wait. great times ahead.
