went down to soho to check out the art parade this afternoon. it was good to see. felt a little bit surreal though (in a hey isnt it too early and bright for the halloween parade surreal sort of way). was able to take photos and capture a bit of the craziness and below are some of them—

mario batali @ the farmer's market

to add to the day's surrealness, was doing my saturday morning free samples and gotta have my morning scone and fresh wish-they-were-cheaper slice of good cheese breakfast at the union square farmer's market when, lo and behold, mario batali was there too. last week it was ted from the queer eye show checking out the fresh herbs. this week, iron chef batali. next week, who knows, maybe it's nora daza or yan from wok with yan.
