GRRrrreat ads from all over

been spending my downtime in the office the past days searching for great ads out there in preparation for a presentation i have for the agency creative team on friday. lots of great online and offline stuff out there and i thought id share some of the gems ive found. most notable of which is wieden + kennedy's "Grrr" ad for honda, which has been sweeping the awards shows.

here's other 15/30/60/90s of fun out there—

subservient chicken and the rest of the communication arts interactive winners
anti-smoking PSA from paris
"laila" adidas ad from good friend il cone's agency in amstydam
ikea ad from hottest shop in the universe right now, porter bogusky, miami
"kill bill" from sister agency, euro rscg flagship bangkok
"kung fu" ad, but done by those crazy dutchies
another hilarious ad done by those crazy dutchies. beware the last song syndrome.
another hilarious ad but by those canadians this time.
ad with russian flavor from hotshop goodby, san francisco.
ad with belgian humour, quite hilarious once again.
to end with, a serious PSA, again from hottest agency crispin porter, miami—so it's not all funny haha.

been enjoying the office quite a lot of late actually. for one, i've always thought the agency creative profile a bit lacking BUT a lot of attention's been given to improving that recently, the meeting of the creative dept on friday an example. also, ive been producing non-traditional works ive been quite happy with for the past days (and am sort of establishing a go-to-for-"creative"-concepts-guy reputation. that, and a we-need-a-surprise-greeting-card-for-so-and-so-officemate-whipped-up one, which brings me to my second point why im enjoying in a sec). with the constantly growing personal influence on the agency's creatives, i wouldnt be surprised if things start picking up. hate something, change something is in the works.

second and more important reason i enjoy work is people in the office are actually quite kind. of course, ive always thought so (otherwise i wouldnt be working here) but of late, small acts of niceness just seem to be more evident. surprise "meeting" for kristi's birthday complete with chocolate cake and card from the creative department which i was asked to make. studio person offering me a cup of her really great-smelling freshly-ground and -brewed coffee. frankie going on vacation to spend a few days down in new orleans to help in the constuction. lots of people dropping by the new hires' desks to welcome them to the agency. julia feeling terribly sorry for us missing the advance screening of corpse bride coz of her staying a bit late in the office, steve dropping by my area to share stories from his honeymoon to italy. alissa arranging a barbecue up in warwick on saturday for the team, etc. etc.

it's just a good atmosphere to work in (inspite of all the f*ck this f*ck that from everyone, or perhaps even more so because of it). and things are even getting better. anyway, enough of this i love what i do blogging crap. let me find that job i need to work on so i can get out of the office quickly to get to that drink soon with officemates.

not at all award-winning but nonetheless relevant pieces of communication. i made these bumper stickers (and sent 'em around spamming everyone on my list) coz my bumbum was already aching from all the fence-sitting. that, or to at least find a way to forgive myself for not being part of the unwelcome party to greet gloria arroyo in her visit here in nyc. feel free to download, share, print and bumper stick and ease my guilty social conscience—
