it's a small small world

had a nice "it's a small world" experience over the weekend. but none of that disney dancing puppets crap. more the real thing, i guess.

met alex suh and boyoung lee at the art directors club, both creative directors here in the city, a couple originally from south korea. they brought their 4-year old son, yuan who was such a joy having around at the workshop. the three of them looked great together. great picture of the universality of the value for family.

hungarian-descent susan mayer made sure his dad david was comfortably seated as she finished up with cleaning up while he waited for her. nice image of respect for one's elders.

oksana my russian barber (or is that barbress if it's a girl) was making all sorts of corny jokes as she cut my hair. her barber-mate was teasing her for her english. great lesson on the importance of a healthy sense of humour.

the mexicans at the nearby diner served me their nice champorrado which tasted really good. everyone loves chocolates. (they charged me for the hot sauce i asked for so i guess everyone loves overcharging everyone else as well).

the chinese attendants at the resto nearby supersized my soup at no cost coz ive been a loyal regular there. loyalty and having a familiar face always pays.

who needs disney, when you have places like new york? (of course using the same logic, who needs new york when you have the real countries themselves? oh well. til the day i travel around the world, new york it is then).

all together now... There's so much that we share. That it's time we're aware, It's a small world after all
