getting the parties started

was in a dinner meeting last night with the ateneo and la salle alumni organizations here in the east coast. (subcontext of course is that they're 2 archrival universities in manila and i'm from the ateneo). it was a good meeting actually. quite rowdy with those "oldies" though but fun and productive nonetheless.

agenda for the meeting was basically organizing this joint party/concert/event first week of may with some 1000 guests expected. am helping out with the marketing and all the design shit. should be a nice little project to have going on the side. another thing to look forward to and be busy with in the coming months.

in the more immediate future, er in a few hours, ive invited some friends over to a tapas bar called xunta (friends from different backgrounds obviously, but not that i have that many friends, of course, but should be fun). some sangria and live flamenco on the side. and of course, some nice lively conversations with everyone.

in the less immediate future, ie on saturday, i actually have 2 parties to attend. a birthday lunch pizza party for 2 friends. and a chinese wedding of another friend. that should be fun (or not)—my first traditional chinese wedding to attend to. im hoping i dont stick out like a sore thumb though. er, am i not supposed to wear black?

in the very very immediate future, as in right now, i have a meeting to attend here in the office. gtg. quick, before they start paging me. grrrr.

as usual, meeting's postponed. oh well. interesting project though—the agency website. should be a fun project. something enjoyable to keep me busy.
