last week in NY madness

2 in the morning now. 10 hours before my flight back to the philippines. feels strange coz part of me feels like im coming home while part feels like leaving home as well. weird. but enough weirdness.

it was a great last week here in the city for the year. busy and lots of action. just as it should be. in the office, was jumping back and forth from the editing house to the agency. we were editing the tv commercials for testing next week. nice good experience. feels strange though having the power to tell people what to do. must say, im still not that used to it. but enough of the work stuff, it was a great night out last night with officemates. an account exec who's worked there for 5 years is leaving the agency so we had her party. drinking started as early as 4 and we all headed out to red rock again, the coyote-ugly-ish dive. after all the beers and tequila shots, and dancing like crazy, by midnight, people were so drunk we found ourselves back in the office, trashing the main conference room. well, not really that trashed. but people were teasing all over the place like jim with his bald spot, and sung (one of the creative directors) being called sung the well hung by brockie the brit who was pissed people were not heading straight to puck fair for pints of guiness.

in the middle of work and office parties, also spent the week doing my last minute christmas shopping as well. how i survived times square in freezing weather i do not know how. my mom better like the godiva chocolates and the my nephew the toys r 'us cars i braved times square for.

i should be sleeping now actually but one last thought—officemates, sisters had been asking all week whether i was all excited about the flight back home or not. had always answered, not really and not yet. not that im not or wouldnt be. its just that there were things to be excited here in the city with as well. which strangely has somewhat felt like home as well. but now that it's 2 in the morning and i am all packed (but im sure forgetting to bring tons of stuff), i am now officially excited.

hmmm, to still sleep or not to sleep?

happy holidays, new york! we shall meet again next year with renewed energy and recharged batteries. chill!
