schmetlag
here at soy luck club now, enjoying a nice mug of dark chocolate soy steamer and a healthy turkey and egg flax seed wrap. not sure exactly what flax is but all i know is it's good for you. in any case, it tastes good. and healthy. for a place with such a cheesy name, it's actually nice here. friendly neighborhood atmosphere, drinks are served on real cups, you don't feel rushed out of the place, plus there's free wireless net access. although with how much you pay for the food and drinks, im sure that's covered sufficiently. but let's not think capitalist thoughts. there's no room for those evil thoughts on such a nice lazy sunday.
my sytem's still a bit messed up by jetlag. i've annoyingly developed a habit of waking up at 2 in the morning only to fall asleep again at 7 and wake up at 3PM, 11AM if lucky. it's interesting however how productive i am from 2-7am. i'd managed to pay my bills, do my finances (and realize that it takes $8,737 to be a mill-yen-aire), search for apartments and lofts i could never afford, activate my dvd subscription, and possibly irk the neighbors for making noises at such an ungodly hour.
i have a whole apartment to clean up. guests from holland arrive tomorrow and ive yet to make the place liveable. looking forward to their arrival obviously. should be great to have fresh dutch energy and humour in the city again. just might be the antidote to this jetlag.
lots of happenings this coming week aside from the dutchies' invasion of new york. lunch out tomorrow with the whole creative team, party in pennsylvania tuesday night, wednesday and thursday in chicago, agency belated holiday party on friday, and then weekend in delaware. now if only i could restart this system to get myself conscious through all those.
for now, time to log out. but wait, the friendly neighborhood cop just walked in. casually asks for the business permit. friendly neighborhood attendant can't find it. cop's now issuing a ticket for something. the trash bags outside, the lack of sanitation sign, the daily specials stand outside. not sure what. a friendly customer joins their conversation about whatever ny city violation the place's being cited for. everyone remains nice and chill, however as though it were all part of this regular nice chill afternoon. just the non-excitement i need to wake me up from this zombiedom.
time to sign out and get some action.
